Ingredients
-
8 teaspoons Kansas City Steak Rub
-
4 single serving size steaks (5 to 8 ounces each). Steaks can be fillets, rib-eye, sirloin or T-bone.
Directions
Coat all sides of the steaks with the Kansas City Steak Rub and let them sit while you prepare the fire.
Use of a charcoal grill is preferred. Start the coals in a pile and spread them when you are ready to cook. Coals for grilling should be in a thick single layer
Place the steaks on the grill for 5 to 6 minutes per side. This should yield medium to medium rare results.
Remove the steaks from the grill and cover loosely with foil. We recommend pulling the steaks from the heat when they reach an internal temperature of 130-135 degrees for medium. Allow to rest for 10 minutes. The steaks will continue to cook for several minutes after they are removed from the grill.
